๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿป Why do we rub our hands on our face after a Dua?

Imam Sadiq (as),
Just like the cloud which is the source of rain, dua too is the source of acceptance. That is, acceptance is within the dua. Like rain which is within the cloud.

๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿป When man has raised his hands for dua, our teachings from the infallible Imams (as) state that it is recommended you rub your hands on your face and head because the Grace of Allah has responded to these hands.

A hand that is stretched before the Almighty God, it does not return unanswered for sure.

๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿป Furthermore, a hand that has received the Almightyโ€™s bestowals is respectful.

It is for this reason, it is good to rub it on your face and head.

Imam Sajjad (as) at times when he used to help someone in need, he smelt his hand saying, this my hand reached the hand of Allah.

The Almighty in ayat 104 of Surat Tawbah states.

Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts the repentance of His servants and receives the charities, and that it is Allah who is the All-clement, the All-merciful?
